Summer camp

Robotics Engineering and Coding Lab with First Tech Challenge (Ages:12-18)

TOOLS: REV Hubs, any hardware parts including custom parts.

Course Description:
Take your real-world robotics skills to the next level with the First Tech Challenge competition robots. Work in teams to build robots that compete in the annual First Tech Challenge competition.
Learn to program, build, design, 3D modeling, Computer Aided Design through hands-on experiences.
Using the Java programming language, students will program the robot to complete tasks in both autonomous and driver’s control period. Campers will explore advanced programming techniques including computer vision with TensorFlow, Proportional-Integral-Derivative loops, Pure Pursuit Path Tracking Algorithm, and many more. Campers will also be able to utilize different sensors, including inertial measurement units, color and distance sensors, etc. Develop problem solving skills and collaboration skills through working with teams to solve challenges.
During the course, students will be learning about new topics every week, including computer aided design, drivetrain and drivers control, sensors, computer vision, PID.

Time: From the last week of May to the last week of August every year.
