U.S. STEM EDUCATION FOUNDATION is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2020. The founder Summer Lee has been a part of the LEGO education field since 2009 and began opening LEGO education centers in 2013; plans to expand these centers even further internationally. Since its inception in 2009, Summer Lee and USEF has grown from serving 167 youth to more than 193,000 students across the world, with the help of over 7,300 volunteers.USEF is intended to provide STEM education in order to inspire, excite, and generate a sense of discovery in youth, by offering hands-on, discipline-specific projects and tasks for students ages 3-18.

USEF is an affiliate partner of Robo Tourney and FIRST charged with supporting Robo Tourney International, FIRST LEGO League Jr, FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams in the world by offering training, tournament opportunities, volunteer coordination and community outreach.

USEF is committed to introducing the next generation of engineers, scientists, computer programmers, technicians, policy makers and project managers to the challenge and promise of STEM.
